ACTIVE BODIES ACTIVE MINDS
This program is offered in every Wairaapa Secondary School once a year for Year 10 Girls.
In 2023 the program will run in term three for one day. The course covers
Hauora - mindset, motivation and confidence with psychology tools focusing on sleep, relaxtion and technology, Nutrition - nourishing your body and soul from the inside out with nutrition advice including preparing a lunch.
These sessions are taken by Tea Retreats Sarah Donaldson (Psychologist) and Sarah Percy (Dietician).
Then there are two active sessions whanau focused backyard games and Boxing/Self Defense for confidence taken by Wairarapa Boxing Academy.
This course is fully funded by Tu Manawa.
